Every Thailand travel contains a chapter of horrors. The chapter is typically called something like "stay safe" or "a word of caution." In legal terms, these sections are known as the "CYA" area, which stands for "cover your..." Reading them is wise, but the editors go just a little overboard. As small as this town may seem at first, the sheer volume of entertainment is mind-blowing! Hip little bars are found in places you never could imagine! You have poi-spinning dancers as entertainment, while the ultra-cool decor will draw you to others. If live music is your thing, there is an amazing jazz bar with live performances nightly that are actually really good! If you're lucky and a bit savvy, you'll find bars that are so hidden that only someone special will be able take you there. This is a place that will capture your imagination and surprise you every moment that you are lucky enough to spend there.
They say holidays in Thailand are not complete without a visit to the north. This region features a relatively cooler local weather than the rest of the country. The reason why this is so is due to the presence of forests and mountains, which are responsible for the cool weather all throughout the year.
The eatery can be found on the southern side of White Sands beach, going up the slope, with KCTV (Koh Chang TV) on the left, "Thai & Isaan Food" is another twenty-five meters on the opposite side of the road. Happy eating!
In hindsight, I have concluded that if there is one special thing a traveler needs to bring to Iceland, it's money. Nothing is inexpensive, regardless of the exchange rate. The island holds many natural treasures and brilliant landscapes that can only be accessed by special vehicles, boats, snowmobiles, and all-terrain vans and busses, and these guided tours all cost from $80 to $500 per day per person. They are probably worth it, but car camping is the economical alternative. Although car camping is fun and will allow one to see some beautiful country, one can't help but wonder what is being missed.
